In the early 90s, I worked in the Computer Science and Engineering building at FAU and the office accomodations were rather unusual at the time, as you can see here in this photograph. I was sitting there, relaxing in my office, which, as offices go, wasn't that bad—at least it wasn't a veal fattening pen so common in offices.
And contrary to what you might think, I didn't have to worry about people using the stairs. This is, after all, the United States.
Use the stairs? Sheah, right!
