Starting sometime in 1993 or early 1994 I stumbled across the
newsgroup alt.society.generation-x,
found it to be an engaging and interesting bunch of twenty-nothings
(at the time, now most are in the 30s to early 40s). It was also at
this time that I had set up my first webserver (on
pineal.math.fau.edu for those of you out there that may
remember that machine) and had selected several people from ASG-X to link to.
Not one of those links from that time is valid today
(granted, not even my
link—http://pineal.math.fau.edu/~spc/ works
anymore). Things change and a decade is a long time on the
Internet.
The next revision (the one that was, until just recently) had more links, but that just meant more broken links, with just a few exceptions. Those, plus the few that I've been able to track down, are listed here.
